  1. Biometric Information and Identity Verification

In some cases, TrustRide may employ third-party services to verify customer identities through biometric data, such as facial recognition or document scanning technology, particularly when processing remote or app-based reservations. If biometric data is collected, it will be used solely for the purpose of verifying identity, preventing fraud, and ensuring rental eligibility. We do not retain biometric information longer than necessary to complete the verification process and comply with applicable laws such as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA). Any biometric data collected is stored securely and is not sold or disclosed to third parties except where required by law.

By using our services, you consent to receive transactional emails, SMS messages, or phone calls related to your booking, vehicle condition, payment reminders, incident reporting, or other matters involving your rental. You may also opt in to receive promotional communications via email or SMS. You can withdraw this consent for promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe feature or contacting TrustRide directly. However, transactional communications are essential to providing our services and cannot be opted out of while an active rental agreement exists.
